Job summary

TK Elevator in Raleigh, NC is seeking an experienced Superintendent- Modernization to lead modernization projects and crews, ensuring timely, profitable completion and budget adherence.

The role includes supervising field employees, enforcing safety programs, coordinating with owners, engineers and contractors, and managing subcontractors on turnkey projects. Relocation assistance may be offered.

Qualifications

• Ability to write reports, contract proposals and business correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information to management and customers
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to interpret technical instructions and handle abstract variables

Responsibilities

• Supervises modernization field employees by providing direction and training; hires and manages performance.
• Administers company safety program; performs safety audits and emphasizes safety.
• Plans, directs and prioritizes elevator modernization projects and manpower needs.
• Uses accounting reports to review job status and identify risk and opportunity.
• Manages jobsites from survey through completion; coordinates with customers and resolves issues.
• Manages subcontractor schedule and performance on turnkey projects.
• Develops and maintains strong relationships with owner, consultants, and architects.
• Signs off on change orders, purchase orders, and related approvals.
