Job summary

TK Elevator in Manhattan, NY seeks an experienced Superintendent- Modernization to lead elevator modernization projects from survey through completion. You will manage crews, ensure safety, monitor progress, and coordinate with owners, consultants, and architects to deliver on time and within budget.

The role requires strong management skills, knowledge of industry codes, and the ability to review financials and change orders. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of the construction industry and management skills; Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to write reports, proposals and business correspondence.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with management and customers.
• Ability to analyze problems, collect data and draw sound conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise modernization field employees, provide direction and training, hiring and performance management.
• Administer safety program, perform safety audits and stress safety.
• Plan, direct and prioritize elevator modernization projects and manpower needs.
• Review job status with accounting reports to identify risk and opportunities.
• Manage subcontractor schedules and performance on turnkey projects.
• Develop and maintain relationships with owners, consultants and architects.
• Interface with various departments and coordinate material orders and subcontracting.
