Job summary

Loram Maintenance of Way, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator 1 for field-based work operating and maintaining Loram’s on-track equipment. You will perform inspections, document outcomes, and support repairs under supervision.

Candidates should have 2+ years mechanical/electrical experience, railroad certifications, and a valid driver’s license. Willingness to travel 100% and work in a 24/7 environment is required.

• Lead a comprehensive job briefing during operations and maintenance tasks.
• Follow safe work processes, procedures and rules.
• Understand on-track safety and explain specifics when asked.
• Locate and demonstrate correct operation of emergency equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety-focused briefings during shifts.
• Conduct machine inspections and report issues to supervisor.
• Record used parts and monitor floor stock.
• Perform maintenance and repairs per schedules and policies.
• Document daily field reporting and lodging expenses as needed.
