Job summary

Loram Maintenance of Way, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator 1 for field-based work. This role operates, maintains, and repairs Loram on-track maintenance equipment and vehicles under supervision, with assignments across platforms as needed.

Preferred candidates have 2+ years of technical experience in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems, and possess a valid driver’s license with pre-employment checks including a DOT evaluation.

Qualifications

• Safety awareness and adherence to safe work processes.
• Ability to operate and inspect machine systems and perform basic repairs as instructed.
• Document and report daily field activities and administrative data.

Responsibilities

• Lead job briefings during operations and maintenance shifts.
• Follow safe work processes, procedures and rules consistently.
• Operate, inspect, and perform repairs on Loram on-track equipment as required.
• Record and report parts used and field data accurately.
