Job summary

Loram Maintenance of Way, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator 1 for field-based operations. The role involves operating, maintaining, and repairing Loram’s railway maintenance equipment, with duties across on-track platforms and travel modes.

You will work under supervision to ensure safe and efficient operations. Qualifications include 2+ years of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic experience, railroad certifications, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 2+ years demonstrated technical skills such as mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and machine operations.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Pre-employment requirements including physicals, background checks, DOT/erail Safe where required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a comprehensive job briefing during operations and maintenance shifts.
• Conduct machine inspections and report conditions to leadership.
• Perform maintenance and repairs per schedules and policies.
• Document daily field reporting and related administration.
