Job summary

Loram Maintenance of Way, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator 1 in the Operations department. This field-based role requires operating, maintaining, and repairing Loram’s on-track maintenance equipment, with supervision in both operating and travel modes.

You may be assigned to various platforms based on business needs. Candidates should have 2+ years of mechanical/electrical skills, safety certifications, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Internal: 3+ months experience with Loram equipment in a 24/7 environment.
• External: 2+ years demonstrated mechanical, electrical, hydraulic skills.
• Maintain railroad certifications, CPR/First Aid, valid driver's license.
• Pre-employment physical exam and background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Perform machine inspections and report defects or hazards to leadership.
• Carry out maintenance and repairs per schedules and policies.
• Document daily field reporting, expense reporting, and lodging details.
• Operate Loram on-track equipment and related vehicles with supervision.
