Job summary

Loram Maintenance of Way, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator 1 to operate and maintain company railway maintenance and inspection equipment in field assignments.

You may work on Loram’s on track MOW equipment or on track vehicles under supervision, with assignments across different platforms based on business needs. The role requires safety focus, ability to lead briefings, and strong mechanical/electrical/hydraulic skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years demonstrated technical skills such as mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and machine operations.
• Internal: 3+ months experience working with Loram equipment in a 24/7 environment.
• External: 2+ years demonstrated ability to learn, communicate verbally and in writing and learn best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead a comprehensive and appropriate job briefing during operations, maintenance shifts and tasks.
• Conduct machine inspections, identify problems, and communicate conditions to leadership.
• Accurately record parts used and maintenance actions.
• Perform maintenance and repairs according to set schedules and policies.
