Job summary

Loram Maintenance of Way, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator 1 for field-based work on which you will operate, maintain, and repair Loram’s railway maintenance equipment and vehicles.

You may work on various platforms and travel as required, following safety procedures and reporting outcomes to supervision. The role requires background in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic tasks and strong documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Compliance with safety procedures and on-track safety knowledge.
• Ability to perform inspections and report conditions to leadership.
• Ability to document daily field reporting and expense reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead briefings during operations and maintenance shifts.
• Perform machine inspections and basic repairs as directed.
• Record parts usage and report to supervisors.
• Document gauge and HMI function details for operation.
• Complete daily field reports and lodging/expense reporting.
