Job summary

Loram Maintenance of Way, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician to service rail equipment and support customers in a regional area. The role emphasizes lubrication, preventative maintenance, and on-site problem solving to maintain unit uptime and customer satisfaction.

The position requires high school diploma or equivalent, railroad safety training, and the ability to obtain a CDL. Preferred are an Associate degree in Electrical or Mechanical and 1–2+ years in field service within a railroad

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Railroad safety training and certifications required.
• Ability to obtain a CDL.
• Associate degree in Electrical or Mechanical preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lubricate rail top and gauge face units per guidelines.
• Perform lubrication service program for railroad customers.
• Solve problems using logical methods and DOT rules where applicable.
• Adhere to railroad and Loram operating rules.
• Manage inventory on maintenance vehicle and plan schedules.
• Process work orders, delivery tickets, warranty paperwork and returns.
• Build relations with customers and suppliers; support Sales.
• Communicate effectively and work independently.
