Job summary

Loram Maintenance of Way, Inc. seeks a Service Technician to provide customer service and rail lubrication on a region. This role involves maintaining unit uptime, handling inventories on the maintenance vehicle, and working with the Sales team to meet customer expectations.

Required are a High School Diploma or equivalent, railroad safety training, and the ability to obtain a CDL. Prefer an Associate degree in Electrical or Mechanical and prior field service experience in railroads.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; CDL preferred or obtainable.
• Maintain railroad safety training and certifications; ability to obtain CDL.
• Associate degree in Electrical or Mechanical preferred for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Lubricate top of rail and gauge face lubricator units per guidelines.
• Perform lubrication service program for railroad customers.
• Apply problem‑solving methods to issues and follow Loram/railroad rules.
• Process work orders and related paperwork; maintain documentation.
• Build customer and supplier relations; work with Sales to meet expectations.
• Plan work, manage inventory on the maintenance vehicle, and work independently.
• Proactively resolve problems and ensure timely task completion.
