CPKC, North America’s first transnational railroad, is hiring for a conductor in the United States (Wylie, Texas). The role requires working in a 24/7 environment, with extended shifts, outdoor conditions, and heavy physical tasks.

Training is provided in-class and in-field, with pay during training, and progression through various daily rate scales after qualification. Applicants must be at least 18, have a high school diploma or GED, and hold a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform physically demanding work and lift up to 80 pounds.
• Willingness to work unscheduled shifts in a 24/7 environment.
• Able to work long shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
• English reading/comprehension of safety instructions and rules.

Responsabilités

• Work in train or yard service depending on seniority.
• Coordinate switching of cars and train movements.
• Observe and relay signals affecting train movement.
• Provide flag protection and relay signals during emergencies.
• Fill out reports and handle emergency procedures.
