Job summary

PSC Group in Detroit is seeking an Experienced Railcar Repair Technician to safely repair railcars and equipment, interpret work orders, and follow blueprints. You will weld, cut and gouge using basic mechanical skills while maintaining high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
• May require a valid Driver's License and/or a valid TWIC card depending on location
• Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
• Speak, write, read fluent English
• Regular on-site attendance and punctuality required
• Previous military experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Interprets job work orders and follows blueprints/schematics to perform required repairs
• Welds, cuts and gouges using basic mechanical skills and tools
• Notifies of materials and/or equipment required to complete tasks
• Follows all safety rules and ARS EH&S policies
• Ensures AAR, ARS and customer quality assurance standards are met
• Completes other duties as assigned to finish the task
