Job summary

PSC Group is seeking full-time Railcar Repair Technicians to safely handle heavy equipment, railcars, and tracks while performing repairs. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and reliability, with on-the-job training and opportunities for career advancement.

The position requires 18+ years old, ability to pass a drug screen, background check, and fit for on-site duties. Experience is a plus but not required; TWIC or driver’s license may be needed depending on location.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• May require a valid Driver’s License and/or a valid TWIC card depending on location.
• Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check.
• Wear all required PPE and comply with medical exams as needed.
• Excellent communication in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• Regular on-site attendance and punctuality required.

Responsibilities

• Interprets job work orders and follows blueprints/schematics to perform repairs.
• Uses basic mechanical skills to weld, cut and gouge as needed.
• Notifies supervisor of materials or equipment required to complete tasks.
• Adheres to all safety rules and company health policies; maintains clean work area.
• Ensures compliance with AAR, ARS and customer quality standards.
• Performs any other duties to complete assigned tasks.
