Job summary

TTX Company is seeking a hands-on FMO Supervisor to lead railcar inspection and repair operations at our Field Maintenance Operation site in New Jersey. You will champion safety, drive performance, and build a high-performing team in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.

You’ll oversee daily activities, train and mentor staff, manage labor and costs, and coordinate with host railroads and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of railcar repair or mechanical operations experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Knowledge of AAR and FRA standards is a plus.
• Proven ability to lead teams, drive performance, and prioritize safety.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Champion safety first and ensure compliance with policies and FRA/AAR regulations.
• Oversee daily railcar inspection and repair activities, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards.
• Train, coach, and mentor employees to build skills, improve performance and support career growth.
• Manage workforce productivity, labor distribution, and site performance to meet operational and financial goals.
• Promote a positive work environment while ensuring compliance with HR policies and collective bargaining agreements.
• Monitor expenses and optimize labor and materials to support business objectives.
• Serve as a trusted point of contact for host railroads, the AAR, FRA, and internal partners.
