Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of safety practices and quality standards.
• Ability to manage teams, schedules, and production priorities.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience working with KPIs, reporting, and operational metrics.
• Bachelor’s Degree or some college.
• Experience in railcar repair, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
• Background in multi-site or customer-facing operations.
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead site operations with a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
• Conduct daily site walks to monitor work progress, identify risks, and ensure compliance.
• Drive performance against key metrics including turnaround time, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Manage staffing through recruitment, scheduling, training, and workforce planning.
• Facilitate daily team huddles (toolbox talks) to align on safety and production goals.
• Ensure accurate and timely repair tracking, reporting, and customer updates.
• Monitor and report KPIs including productivity, turnaround, and cost metrics.
• Participate in and support safety and quality audits.
• Oversee billing accuracy and timely completion.
• Support employee development, onboarding, and training initiatives.
• Lead and reinforce continuous improvement and visual management practices.
