Job summary

Transco Rail Services, part of Marmon Holdings and Berkshire Hathaway, is seeking a Repair Supervisor to lead frontline operations and ensure safety, quality, and on‑time delivery on the shop floor.

We’re looking for a hands‑on leader with experience in railcar repair and industrial operations to coach hourly staff, drive improvements, and partner with Quality and EHS teams for audit readiness.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years experience in railcar repair, manufacturing, or industrial operations.
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Knowledge of FRA regulations and AAR Interchange Rules.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead repair operations and oversee hourly employees on the shop floor.
• Drive safe work practices and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Monitor daily production, track work in process, and update job status.
• Participate in daily production meetings and communicate progress updates.
• Partner with Quality and EHS teams to maintain compliance and audit readiness.
• Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of employees.
• Coordinate with Materials leadership on materials and equipment management.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead enhancements.
• Address employee relations matters including coaching and corrective actions.
