Job summary

TTX Company is seeking a Railcar Repairman to repair, maintain, and upgrade railcars in a demanding shop environment. You will follow blueprints, utilize welding and cutting tools, and perform mechanical labor across multiple railcar systems.

Safety, accuracy, and timely completion are essential to meet customer specifications and industry standards. The role requires operating power tools, cutting torches, and a forklift, with frequent inspection of parts and assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, maintains, and upgrades railcars per blueprints and specifications using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Operates forklift to move, align, and position parts.
• Welds as needed and fabricates components; uses cutting torch.
• Inspects machines and equipment, tests to ensure proper operation and safety.
• Enters repair information into electronic systems; follows safety and quality requirements.
