Job summary

Conrad Yelvington Distributors, a CRH company, is seeking a Welder Helper for the Camak, GA area to support railcar maintenance and fabrication tasks.

The role involves assisting welders, following MSHA safety rules, preparing cars for service, completing maintenance paperwork, and keeping the work area clean.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year in maintenance, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs; weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year in the maintenance field.
• Familiarity with MSHA regulations preferred.
• Experience in welding, acetylene cutting, fabrication and plumbing preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist welder with preparing cars for maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain clean work environment and follow safety regulations.
• Complete maintenance paperwork and communicate needs to management.
• Overtime and weekend work may be required.
• Lift and move heavy parts as needed.
