Job summary

Conrad Yelvington Distributors, a CRH company, is seeking a general laborer to assist in unloading railcars and maintaining the rail terminal facility across multiple sites. You will follow directions from the Lead Rail or Area Manager, operate basic tools, perform lawn and grounds maintenance, and participate in safety programs to ensure a secure, efficient operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Related construction or physical labor experience preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Ability to use basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Unload railcars and maintain the terminal site following supervisor directions.
• Operate lawn mower, weed eater and landscaping tools to maintain facilities.
• Perform preventative maintenance on terminal equipment and machinery.
• Possibly operate heavy equipment and company vehicles with proper training.
• Travel to other company facilities as needed and promote safety adherence.
