Job summary

Conrad Yelvington Distributors, a CRH company, seeks a General Laborer to assist in unloading railcars and maintaining the rail terminal facility. You will support teamwork and safety for yourself and others while following lead directions and adhering to company policies.

The role requires physical labor, the ability to operate basic tools, and a commitment to safety. Training programs may lead to certifications in rail operations, with opportunities for growth within a large industrial group.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Ability to use basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Unload railcars and maintain terminal site under supervision.
• Use shovels, brooms, and hand tools as directed.
• Perform lawn mowing and weed eating to maintain facility.
• Perform preventative maintenance on terminal equipment and machinery.
• May operate heavy equipment or company vehicles with proper training/certification.
• Travel to other company facilities as needed.
• Follow safety policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations.
