Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years prior experience in trainmen functions.
• Current locomotive engineers and conductor's certification.
• Knowledge of federal railroad regulations, guidelines and rules.
• Ability to read and comprehend written safety rules, procedures and manuals.
• Ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to supervise switch crews and yard personnel.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates the activities of train crews.
• Notifies Conductor of switching orders and directs car movements.
• Manage cars online and ensure daily train lists are accurate.
• Prepare and review incident investigations and safety reporting.
• Understand track conditions and their impact on productivity.
