Qualifications

• Minimum of three years prior experience in trainmen functions.
• Must hold, and continue to hold, a current locomotive engineers and conductor’s certification.
• Ability to read and comprehend safety rules, manuals and regulations.
• Ability to communicate instructions clearly and train yard personnel.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate activities of train crews.
• Receive switching instructions and direct car movements.
• Manage car hire and demurrage knowledge; ensure accurate reporting.
• Investigate accidents and incidents with causes and solutions.
• Understand track conditions and their impact on productivity.
