Job summary

Martin Marietta Materials in Texas is seeking a Loader Operator to safely operate a front-end loader/dozer, stockpile materials, and load customer trucks accurately. The role contributes to daily production in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a strong safety focus.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, knowledge of heavy construction equipment, and at least one year of loader experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of heavy construction equipment.
• 1 year of Heavy Equipment experience; loader operator preferred.
• Experience with a variety of hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently per training and manufacturer's instruction.
• Perform pre-shift safety inspections on vehicle systems and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and service mobile equipment.
• Report needed repairs to supervision.
• Ensure cargo is loaded according to safety rules.
• Maintain good housekeeping of equipment.
• Assist in plant maintenance and repairs.
• Assist with operation of other equipment as needed.
• Adhere to MSHA/OSHA and plant safety rules and procedures.
• Perform duties with minimum supervision.
