Job summary

Martin Marietta Materials, Inc. is seeking a Loader Operator to safely and efficiently move aggregate materials on site, stockpile from railcars, and load customer trucks on time.

The role requires attention to safety and delivering quality service to internal and external customers. New Hire Orientation and Safety Training are conducted at our Dallas Corporate Office; travel expenses are reimbursed for distances over 50 miles, in line with company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of heavy construction equipment.
• 1 year of Heavy Equipment experience; previous loader operator experience preferred.
• Experience with a variety of hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with training and manufacturer’s instruction
• Perform pre-shift safety inspection on the vehicle systems, equipment and accessories
• Perform preventative maintenance and service mobile equipment
• Report needed repairs to supervision
• Ensure cargo is properly loaded according to safety requirements
• Responsible for good housekeeping of equipment
• Assist in plant maintenance and repairs
• Assist with operation of other equipment as needed
• Adhere to MSHA/OSHA and plant safety rules, policies, procedures, and regulations
• Perform duties with minimum supervision
