Job summary

Martin Marietta Materials, Inc. is seeking a Loader Operator responsible for the safe operation of a front-end loader in an aggregate yard or plant environment. You will load finished products into customer trucks and railcars while maintaining stockpile integrity and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Daily inspections and light maintenance are part of the role. Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, or relevant experience; 6 months to 1 year of loader experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma, GED, or relevant experience.
• Experience: 6 months to 1 year of loader operation preferred.
• Knowledge of loading and stockpile integrity, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy-duty front-end loaders to move raw materials from stockpiles to customer vehicles, ensuring accurate weight distribution.
• Regulate material flow to conveyors and storage areas to maximize plant production.
• Maintain quality and separation of stockpiles to prevent contamination and ensure environmental compliance.
• Perform routine pre-shift and post-shift inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
• Communicate with plant operators and drivers, and coordinate vehicle movements using CB radio or hand signals.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.
