Job summary

Jaguar Transport Holdings, LLC is seeking a conductor/engineer to control and coordinate train movements while switching railcars in yards or industrial sites to facilitate unloading and loading for customers. This is a manual labor role requiring adherence to FRA rules and safety procedures during switching operations.

The position requires reading and following instructions, communicating via radio with the crew and dispatcher, and maintaining records of cars and cargo.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED required.
• Must have or have had 49CFR242 and/or 49CFR240 qualifications.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform manual labor.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate predictable, reliable attendance and complete tasks on schedule.
• Read and interpret switching orders and signals to operate locomotives safely.
• Communicate via radio with crew and dispatcher regarding switching information.
• Inspect locomotive before and after runs for safety and proper function.
• Maintain records of cars switched, origins, destinations, and cargo.
• Follow FRA rules, track warrants, and safety procedures during switching.
