Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Control and coordinate train movements while switching railcars in yards or in cab.
• Read switching orders and follow railroad rules and signals.
• Maintain records of cars switched and cargo details.
• Communicate switching information via radio with crew and dispatch.
• Perform safety checks and inspect equipment before and after runs.
