Responsibilities

• Control and coordinate train movements while switching railcars.
• Read switch orders and observe signals to operate locomotive.
• Inspect locomotive and equipment before and after runs.
• Maintain records of cars switched, origin, destination, and cargo.
• Communicate with crew and dispatcher via radio to relay switching information.
