Job summary

Ultimate USA Transportation Equipment Inc. in Charlotte, North Carolina, is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead customer projects in the mechanical engineering and railway vehicle manufacturing domain.

You will plan schedules, budgets and milestones, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure on-time delivery. You bring at least 5 years of project management experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and the willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Completed technical or commercial education or equivalent qualification.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in project management, ideally in mechanical engineering, plant engineering or railway vehicle manufacturing.
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
• Structured, independent and solution-oriented way of working.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Business Central) and MS Office.
• Business-fluent English skills.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Independent management and coordination of customer projects
• Planning, monitoring and coordination of schedules, budgets and project milestones
• Functional leadership of interdisciplinary project teams, as well as close collaboration with Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Logistics and specialist departments at the Austrian site
• Support and communication with customers, including project meetings and presentations
• Coordination of change management, approvals, acceptances and type testing
• Support with quotations, documentation and First Article Inspection (FAI)
