Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, Inc. seeks a project team member to support planning, scheduling, and coordinating construction work, while interpreting contract documents and assisting the Project Manager on diverse assignments.

This role offers substantial field exposure and collaboration on QA programs, with opportunities to work with sub-consultants across the United States. Salary range is provided based on experience and certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or architecture.
• 5+ years of construction or transit quality management experience.
• Ability to interpret and apply contract documents.
• Experience coordinating with project teams and sub-consultants.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, scheduling and coordinating work across project phases.
• Develop and implement project QA programs.
• Read and interpret construction documents such as drawings, specifications, geotechnical reports and inspection reports.
• Coordinate with the project management team to ensure up-to-date contract documents and standards are used.
• Prepare reports and logs (inspector daily reports, cost to date, estimated cost to complete, submittals, RFIs).
• Assist with quantity surveys and take-offs from contract documents and actual work-in-place.
• Enforce QA practices for tasks ordered for bid.
• Prepare contract plans, specifications and estimates.
• Manage project sub-consultants and in-house support disciplines.
• Attend meetings and record/minutes and distribute notes.
• Communicate with team to meet milestones and quality guidelines.
