Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, Inc. is seeking a project team member to support construction project oversight, interpretation of contract documents, and coordination to ensure work aligns with plans.

The role emphasizes QA, scheduling, and collaboration under limited supervision. With a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and 5+ years in construction or transit QA, you will read drawings, manage sub-consultants, and help prepare reports and estimates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, architectural or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in construction or transit quality management and/or assurance.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and plans.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, scheduling and coordinating work across project phases.
• Develop and implement project QA programs.
• Read and interpret drawings, specs, geotechnical reports and inspection records.
• Coordinate with project management to ensure current documents and standards are used.
• Prepare inspector logs, cost-to-date and estimate-to-complete reports.
• Assist with quantity surveys and take-offs from contract documents.
• Enforce quality management practices for bid packages.
• Prepare and compile contract plans, specifications and estimates.
• Manage sub-consultants and internal support disciplines.
• Attend meetings, record minutes and distribute them.
• Communicate with team to meet milestones and quality guidelines.
