Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, Inc. seeks a Facilities – Rail/Transit Quality Control Manager to lead project QA programs, interpret contract documents, and support the team in Washington, DC.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and 5+ years in construction or transit QA/assurance, with preferred OSHA or USACE CQM certifications. JMT offers ESOP ownership and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, architectural or related field.
• 5+ years’ experience in construction or transit quality management and/or assurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist planning, scheduling and coordinating work across project phases.
• Develop and implement project-specific QA programs.
• Read and interpret construction documents (drawings, specs, reports).
• Coordinate with project management to verify current contract documents and standards.
• Prepare inspector daily reports, cost-to-date and cost-to-complete logs.
• Assist with quantity surveys and take-offs from documents and in-place work.
• Enforce and document quality management practices for task orders.
• Prepare and compile contract plans, specs and estimates.
• Manage sub-consultants and in-house disciplines.
• Attend meetings and record/distribute minutes.
• Communicate with team to meet milestones and quality guidelines.
