Job summary

Tectonic Engineering in Forest Hills, NY is seeking experienced, full-time Project Estimators for upcoming MTA Transit and related projects. The role involves creating cost estimates, budgets, and cost analytics for heavy civil/rail transit work.

Qualified candidates will have at least five years in rail transit estimating or equivalent, strong budgeting knowledge, and the ability to present to clients and management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of related work experience in planning, estimating, monitoring and project controls of rail transit construction/design-build projects or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of construction cost estimating, budgeting principles, and industry standards for heavy civil/rail transit work.
• BS degree strongly preferred; HS Diploma/Equivalent acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Create Cost Estimates and Project Budgets for design-build and construction efforts.
• Perform Site Visits to update estimates and budgets.
• Develop baseline and updated budgets and projections for client and PM Team.
