Job summary

Alfred Benesch & Company seeks a licensed Project Engineer in Civil/Track Design within our Railroad Services group. You will gain hands-on experience, collaborate with seasoned Project Managers, Engineers, and Technicians, and contribute to rail and transit projects for Class I, short line, and commuter clients.

In this hybrid role, you will design and engineer rail systems including light rail, heavy rail, commuter, and freight, coordinating with design teams to deliver innovative solutions

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Civil Engineering required.
• 5 years of rail/transit project experience.
• Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bentley InRoads/OpenRoads/OpenRail.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a track design engineer on projects of various scales.
• Provide essential support to track and civil discipline leads.
• Conduct quantity take-offs for track and civil components.
• Participate in development of technical specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional design teams.
• Support Project Managers (PM).
