Job summary

Benesch's Railroad Division seeks a licensed Project Engineer in Civil/Track Design to join our team. Based in Milwaukee with hybrid schedule, you will design and engineer rail and transit systems, collaborating with PMs, engineers, and technicians on projects for Class I, short line, and commuter rail clients.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree, PE license (or within 1 year), and at least 5 years of rail experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or Bentley software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required with PE license or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• At least 5 years of rail and transit project experience with Civil/Track design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bentley software required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a track design engineer on projects of various scales.
• Provide essential support to track and civil leads on major infrastructure projects.
• Perform quantity take‑offs for track and civil components.
• Contribute to development of technical specifications.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional design teams and PMs.
• Support project managers with coordination and deliverables.
