Job summary

Benesch is seeking a licensed Project Engineer in our Civil/Track Design department to lead track design efforts on rail and transit projects. You will collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Technicians to deliver designs for Class I, short line, and commuter rail clients within a hybrid office setup that supports Milwaukee and other offices.

The position requires a Civil Engineering degree, a PE license or the ability to obtain within a year, and 5 years of rail experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• 5 years of rail and transit project experience.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Serve as track design engineer on projects of various scales.
• Provide essential support to track and civil discipline leads.
• Conduct quantity take-offs for track and civil components.
• Participate in development of technical specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional design teams.
• Support Project Managers (PM) throughout projects.
