Job summary

Benesch is actively seeking a licensed Civil/Track Project Engineer to join our Rail Services group. You will design track systems for light rail, heavy rail, commuter, and freight projects, and collaborate with PMs, engineers, and technicians across multidisciplinary teams.

You will contribute to specifications development and take-offs while aiming to advance your PE license within one year. This hybrid role offers diverse project exposure across multiple offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and five years of rail/transit project experience.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bentley InRoads/OpenRoads/OpenRail.
• Experience working on railroad projects.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a track design engineer on projects of various scales.
• Provide essential support to track and civil discipline leads in major infrastructure projects.
• Conduct quantity take-offs for track corridor components (track and civil).
• Participate in the development of technical specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional design teams.
• Support Project Managers (PM).
