Job summary

Benesch is seeking a Railroad Civil/Track Designer II to join the Hybrid team supporting Class I, short line, and commuter rail projects in Milwaukee, WI. You will help create track and civil design plans, specifications, and cost estimates with engineers and project managers.

Ideal candidates have a Civil Engineering degree, up to four years of experience, and experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D; MicroStation/InRoads/OpenRoads are a plus. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering required.
• EIT/FE exam completed or within six months of employment.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D required; MicroStation/InRoads/OpenRoads Designer a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to track and civil design plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Technicians on railroad projects.
• Support freight and commuter rail project work and data integration.
