Job summary

Genesee & Wyoming Main Job Board is seeking a Training Compliance Supervisor to oversee regional education, training programs, and regulatory adherence. You will coordinate with FRA, DOT, and FMCSA, ensuring certification and recertification of locomotive engineers and conducting ongoing safety training.

The role requires strong analytical and leadership skills, GCOR knowledge, and the ability to travel within the region to conduct and monitor training activities while maintaining compliant

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
• Locomotive Engineer certification required.
• Strong knowledge of GCOR rules and regulations.
• Willingness to travel and provide remote site support within the region.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Interact with FRA, DOT, and FMCSA on regional training programs.
• Conduct initial and ongoing safety training for region’s crafts.
• Be responsible for certification and recertification of locomotive engineers.
• Ride trains to monitor performance and respond to policy inquiries.
• Conduct efficiency testing to measure training effectiveness and compliance.
• Assist in implementing training and regulatory procedures for operations.
• Maintain up-to-date training and regulatory manuals for regional properties.
• Organize and maintain training and compliance records.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with FRA, DOT, and FMCSA regulations.
• Assist with agency inspections preparation and facilitation.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient training activities.
• Interact with federal, state, and local agencies as needed.
• Direct and manage training resources for maximum efficiency.
• Promote safety culture through leadership behavior.
• Manage additional projects and duties as assigned.
