R. J. Corman Railroad Group is seeking a Manager of Mechanical Training & Operating Compliance to lead safety programs and deliver training in Nicholasville, KY. The role oversees compliance with FRA, OSHA, GCOR, and AAR, and requires audits, investigations, and continuous safety improvements.

Travel up to 80% and collaboration with mechanical leadership are key aspects. A Bachelor's degree in safety or related field and railroad experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, Railroad Operations, or related field; railroad experience may be considered.
• Railroad management or operations experience required.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical department operations and railroad safety regulations.
• Experience delivering technical and safety training.
• Experience conducting audits, incident investigations, and compliance reviews.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support mechanical safety programs across railroad operations.
• Develop and deliver safety training for mechanical employees and oversee training records.
• Ensure compliance with FRA, OSHA, GCOR, AAR and company safety standards.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, job observations, and compliance reviews.
• Lead investigations involving incidents, injuries, accidents, and near misses.
• Partner with mechanical leadership to implement safety initiatives and continuous improvement.
• Monitor regulatory changes and update safety programs accordingly.
• Analyze safety performance metrics and prepare compliance reports.
• Participate in risk assessments and hazard mitigation activities.
• Travel up to 80% as business needs require.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
