Qualifications

• Bachelor's not required; diploma/ GED accepted with rail experience.
• Six years in rail transportation with two years in training supervision.
• Current Locomotive Engineer certification and knowledge of FRA rules.

Responsibilities

• Interact with FRA, DOT, and FMCSA on regional training programs.
• Conduct initial and ongoing training for crafts within the region, including safety and operating rules.
• Certify and recertify locomotive engineers.
• Inspect and monitor training effectiveness and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare for agency inspections and coordinate with other departments.
