Job summary

Trinity Industries is seeking a Rail Project Coordinator to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient execution of railcar projects across North America. You will manage project setup, tracking, and documentation control, while stewarding project costs and maintaining data integrity in FleetWatch MP and RailTrac.

This role requires collaboration with Engineering, Maintenance, Regulatory, Legal, Asset Planning, and Data teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1+ years experience with Railcar maintenance/assets.
• Project support and industrial maintenance coordination experience.
• Knowledge of FleetWatch MP, RailTrac, or similar rail systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to hold others accountable.
• Ability to coordinate across Engineering, Maintenance, Regulatory, Legal, Asset Planning, and Data teams.

Responsibilities

• Project setup and activation: receive approved instructions and add projects to FleetWatch MP.
• Execution tracking & documentation: ensure required maintenance/inspection docs are submitted.
• Financial & project stewardship: perform cost checks and communicate variances.
• Change management: coordinate revised instructions with stakeholders and publish per procedures.
• Project close-out: complete close-out docs and communicate completion to stakeholders.
• Governance & controls: maintain audit-ready records and separation of duties.
• Success measures: ensure timely tags, complete docs, and accurate system updates.
