Job summary

RSI Logistics, recently acquired by Trinity Industries, is seeking a Rail Logistics Coordinator to monitor railcars from origin to destination and manage returns. You will identify exceptions, escalate issues, and inform business partners of variations in planned trips.

The role requires collaboration with railroads, a cloud- based tracking system, and strong communication skills to ensure on-time delivery and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in rail operations or logistics coordination.
• Proficient in technical writing, good communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Monitor loaded railcars from origin to destination and manage empty returns.
• Use cloud-based railcar tracking to identify problems and provide updates to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with railroads to troubleshoot delays and document issues.
• Ensure railcars travel the correct route, destination, and on-time performance.
• Understand bill of lading, way bills, and railroad terminology.
• Demonstrate proactive, self-starting approach and continuous improvement.
