Siemens Mobility, Inc is seeking a Mechanical Desk Engineer in Wilmington, Delaware to provide fleet monitoring and maintenance planning for locomotives and to support Siemens Customer Service. The role includes technical oversight for depots and support managers, with a 2nd shift (10am–8:30pm) and weekend coverage.

You will collaborate with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and Field Service Technicians, deliver real-time phone support, and contribute to continuous improvement in

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a technical field or proven technical maintenance and operational experience.
• Ability to solve practical problems and adapt to changing situations.
• Strong computer skills and willingness to learn computerized maintenance management systems.

Responsabilités

• Monitor fleet performance and provide equipment surveillance support for locomotives.
• Support reliability improvements to minimize downtime and costs.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Software Engineers and Field Service Technicians to improve maintenance practices.
• Provide real-time live phone support to end-users.
• Assist in Failure Investigations and Root Cause Analysis reports.
• Review and update maintenance practices and documentation.
