Siemens Mobility, Inc in Wilmington, DE invites qualified active-duty U.S. military personnel to join as a Mechanical Desk Engineer within the DoD SkillBridge program.

The role focuses on fleet monitoring, maintenance planning, and on-site support for Siemens locomotives, with collaboration across product, software, and field teams. The position requires on-site attendance in Wilmington, DE, with a 2nd shift 10am–8:30pm Sunday to Wednesday or Wed–Sat, and allows for up to 5% domestic travel.

Qualifications

• Must be active-duty U.S. military service member eligible for DoD SkillBridge.
• Associate’s degree in a technical field or equivalent maintenance experience.
• Willing to travel domestically up to 5%.

Responsibilities

• Provide fleet monitoring and maintenance planning support for locomotives.
• Support reliability improvements and cost reduction.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and Field Technicians.
• Provide real-time live phone support to end users.
• Contribute to Failure Investigations and RCA reports.
• Update maintenance practices and documentation.
• Clarify customer problems and drive resolution.
