Job summary

Siemens Mobility, Rolling Stock Division in Lexington, NC, seeks an Electro-Mechanical Technician I to support electrical and mechanical sub-assemblies for passenger locomotives and coaches in a fast-paced production environment.

You will build electrical racks, wire harnesses, and panels from blueprints and diagrams, connect wiring, and modify components as needed while maintaining quality and safety standards. Strong dexterity and basic English communication required.

Qualifications

  • High school education or GED or equivalent in manufacturing environments.
  • Capable of basic written and verbal communication in English.
  • Knowledge of reading blueprints, diagrams, and parts lists is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Build up and assemble units in passenger coaches such as roofs, cable harnesses, mounted parts, electrical racks, and panels including air supply racks and piping assemblies.
  • Connect wires between component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points.
  • Cut wire to specified lengths and route, twist, wrap, tie, and attach wire to terminal points.
  • Disassemble, modify, rework, refurbish, reassemble components as required.
  • Work from production blueprints, wiring diagrams, parts lists, wire lists, sketches and verbal instructions to produce electrical or electro-mechanical subassemblies.
  • Frequently use fine motor skills to assemble small parts with dexterity.
