Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Must be willing to become a qualified train dispatcher
• Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Issue track warrants via radio and telephone
• Complete reports for Operations Department
• Perform tasks necessary for the dispatcher’s office operation
• Communicate with train crews, yard supervision, MoW personnel regarding train movements
• Coordinate pickup and relief for expired crews based on hours of service
• Monitor train movements and conditions affecting operations
• Follow GCOR and FRA guidelines and report rule violations
