Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures with independence and professional judgment. The role requires preparing patients, selecting exposure factors, and ensuring image quality while adhering to safety standards.

The ideal candidate will hold an Associate’s degree (or equivalent), ARRT Radiography certification within 6 months, CPR certification, and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Minimum Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent education and experience.
• Preferred prior radiology experience.
• ARRT Radiography certification (R) required within 6 months of hire.
• CPR – American Heart Association.
• Background clearances (Act 34, Act 33, Act 73, FBI fingerprinting) as required.

Responsibilities

• Position patient and perform imaging procedures.
• Analyze results and ensure image quality; adjust positioning as needed.
• Enter, transmit and report scan results.
• Review history and orders; educate patient about procedures.
• Prepare and administer contrast media when ordered; monitor patient status.
• Prepare equipment, select exposure factors; ensure safety and perform QC.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
