Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic imaging with independent judgment. The role emphasizes patient positioning, result analysis, and timely communication of findings in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include educating patients, handling contrast media when required, ensuring safety, and conducting basic equipment QC. A two-year degree and ARRT parity within 6 months are required as part of a comprehensive clinical team.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• ARRT Radiography certification required within 6 months of hire.
• CPR certification as per American Heart Association guidelines.
• Background clearance checks per Act 34/33/73 may be required.

Responsibilities

• Position patient and perform imaging procedures; analyze results and address image quality issues.
• Review patient history and orders; educate patient about procedures and equipment.
• Prepare and administer contrast media when ordered; monitor patient and respond to changes.
• Prepare equipment; select exposure factors; ensure safety and perform quality control; troubleshoot equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
