Job summary

Independence Health System Inc. seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographs under radiologist supervision. You will collect patient data, verify orders, and ensure proper consent and preparation for imaging procedures.

You will position patients, select shielding, administer contrast when needed, and monitor for adverse reactions. Images are transmitted to PACS and recorded in RIS/HIS, with routine equipment maintenance and quality checks.

Qualifications

• Completion of a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology Program recognized by the ARRT.
• Current ARRT registry and BLS/CPR certification.
• Strong communication and judgment to explain procedures to patients.

Responsibilities

• Produce radiographs of anatomical parts as directed by the radiologist.
• Verify orders, patient data, and consent prior to imaging.
• Position patients and select shielding to obtain diagnostic images.
• Send images to PACS for radiologist interpretation and document in RIS/HIS.
• Maintain radiographic equipment and perform daily QC; handle downtime procedures.
